Make your own Korean pellet drum in this free workshop!
Workshop attendees are invited to make and decorate their own Korean pellet drums in this fun, family-friendly workshop. A Korean pellet drum is usually decorated with taegukgi, or colors from the Korean flag motif. In this workshop, attendees may decorate their drums with any colors, words, symbols, and designs that feel meaningful to them.
When twisted left and right, the pellets hit the head of the drum which makes a rhythmic sound. Traditional forms of the Korean pellet drum are used in cultural folk rituals.
This workshop is free and open to all ages and experience levels. Children should be accompanied by an adult caregiver.
