Directions and Access
Tacoma Armory Directions
- From I-5, take the City Center exit to Highway 705.
- Follow Highway 705 to the “A” Street exit.
- From “A” Street, turn left onto S. 11th Street.
- Continue west for 10 blocks on S. 11th Street.
- Tacoma Armory will be on your right at the corner of S. 11th Street and S. Yakima Ave.
- Paid public parking is to your right on S. 11th St before the Tacoma Armory.
Tacoma Armory Parking
Street parking is available around Tacoma Armory near the Pierce County-District Court Building, but is limited to either 30 minutes or one hour, and is free after 6 p.m. Paid public parking is available adjacent to the campus, operated by LAZ Parking. Please enter through the doors on the west side of the building on Yakima Avenue.
Accessibility and Ramp Access
There is a ramp located along Yakima Avenue at the Roosevelt Room entrance (closest to S 11th St.). The first office level is accessible from the sidewalk via the north-end doors of the Armory on Nollmeyer Ln. The Armory does not have an elevator.
Sound Transit and Tacoma Link Light Rail
The Tacoma Link Light Rail is a source of FREE transportation that connects the Tacoma Dome Station where you can park for FREE, with the Theater District and the Tacoma Armory. The Light Rail runs every 10-20 minutes until 10:00 pm, Monday through Saturday, and 5:50 p.m. Sunday. Many Tacoma Arts Live events may have a 2-3 hour runtime, so please keep this in mind if planning to park at the Tacoma Dome Station.
