This year The Midwinter Revels is set in 19th century Mexico - a swirling spirited celebration, joyful, colorful, funny, tender, magical. It features Bill Johns and Marleyne Hernández, who bring us the heartfelt story of a young woman reclaiming her Mexican heritage. Also featured is impressive folk band Trío Guadalevín – singing in several languages and playing a wonderful array of instruments. Joining them are Bailadores de Bronce dancers, Revels' own Adult and Children’s Choruses, the Seattle Brass Ensemble, and more.
As always, it’s a joyous celebration for family and friends - the perfect December gathering.
Expect music, stories, dancing, singing, celebration... Revels!
The Midwinter Revels® is a lively concoction of folk tradition and high art that blends adults and children, amateurs and professionals, audience and players and truly does include dancing in the aisles. Full of humor and beauty, it plays each year to large audiences of all ages from all over the Pacific Northwest."
