A new and lively stage version of the smash film comedy.
Penniless and indebted to two demanding producers, the struggling young playwright William Shakespeare is tormented by writer’s block… until he meets the beautiful Viola, daughter of a wealthy merchant. Her fiery passion for poetry and drama leaves her secretly longing to be an actor. Viola becomes Will’s muse. Secretly, she disguises herself as a man to become a player in the acting company because women were banned from being actor’s in Queen Elizabeth’s time. Will and Viola’s love blossoms and releases his writer’s block to inspire Romeo and Juliet. But, will this story end in tragedy or a blissful union?
